41,900 LV customer information leaked! Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner: investigating If LV leaks privacy and does not correct the mistake, it may face criminal prosecution.

Following the data breaches of Dior and Cartier, French luxury brand LV also "lost" its user data security defense line. On July 19th, the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data stated that on July 17th, they received a data breach incident report submitted by Louis Vuitton Hong Kong Limited involving personal information of local consumers, including names, shopping records, etc. "This incident has affected approximately 419,000 Hong Kong customers' personal data." The PCPD stated that they have launched an investigation into LV. "If it is confirmed that LV has leaked privacy and does not correct the mistake, they may face criminal prosecution." On July 22nd, when interviewed as a consumer by reporters, the PCPD mentioned that there have been no new developments since their response to the LVHK data breach incident on July 19th, and the investigation may continue for half a year to a year.
