The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank recently issued 2 billion yuan of 2-year Panda bonds in the interbank market, with a coupon rate of 1.64%, and the market subscription was enthusiastic. According to the AIIB, this issuance received a total of 6.4 billion yuan in subscribed orders, achieving 3.2 times oversubscription, breaking the record for oversubscription multiples of AIIB Panda bonds issuance. This transaction attracted participation from over 30 institutions, setting a record for the number of participating institutions in AIIB Panda bond issuances, including 12 new investors. In terms of investor distribution, overseas investors accounted for nearly 60%, including several overseas central banks and other official institutions that had previously participated in the subscription of AIIB U.S. dollar bonds.
