From July 17th to 18th, 2025, the G20 Chair country South Africa convened the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting of the year in Durban, discussing topics such as the global economic situation, international financial architecture, sustainable finance, financial sector reforms, and inclusive finance. Tao Ling, Vice Governor of the People's Bank of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Tao Ling stated in her speech that the Chinese economy continues to show positive momentum, and the People's Bank of China has implemented a moderately loose monetary policy to support economic growth and financial market stability. China is committed to upholding multilateralism and promoting the construction of a fair and open international economic and trade order. China calls for accelerating preparations for the 17th IMF quota review and achieving meaningful quota adjustments as soon as possible. The People's Bank of China actively implements international financial regulatory standards and is committed to maintaining the consistency and authority of global financial regulatory rules. As Co-Chair of the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, the People's Bank of China will work with all parties to achieve positive results in this year's work.
