AstraZeneca announced on Monday that the company plans to invest $50 billion in expanding its production and research capabilities in the United States by 2030, making it the latest pharmaceutical giant to make a massive investment in response to Trump's tariff policies. AstraZeneca said in a statement that this investment will fund the construction of a new drug manufacturing facility in Virginia, as well as expanding research and cell therapy production in Maryland, Massachusetts, California, Indiana, and Texas.
