The impact of the typhoon has weakened, and the Qiongzhou Strait ferry will resume operations at 12:00 on July 22nd.
On July 21st, it was learned from the Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau that as Typhoon "Weipa" gradually moves away, the wind in the Qiongzhou Strait has weakened. After consultations between the maritime departments of Guangdong and Hainan, it was decided that the Qiongzhou Strait passenger ships will resume service starting from 12:00 on July 22nd. As of 8:00pm on July 21st, there were approximately 2600 vehicles waiting to be transported on the north shore of the Qiongzhou Strait. The Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau reminds that there may be a peak in transportation at the beginning of the resumption of service. Drivers and passengers are advised to make reservations and purchase tickets in advance through platforms such as "Qiongzhou Strait Ferry Butler", monitor flight dynamics in real time, plan travel time reasonably, avoid congestion caused by concentrated trips to the port, and collectively maintain the transportation order in the strait.
