The ninth press conference of the series on the theme of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region was held, introducing the economic performance of the region in the first half of the year. The data released showed that in the first half of 2025, the Tibet Autonomous Region achieved a regional GDP of 1382.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2% in real terms. By industry, the value added of the primary industry was 70.73 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5% year-on-year, with the quality and efficiency of the plateau characteristic agriculture and animal husbandry improving, and the output of vegetables, meat, eggs, and dairy products increasing by 17.4% and 14.3% respectively; the value added of the secondary industry was 529.79 billion yuan, an increase of 7.0%, with advantageous industries such as green mining and clean energy accelerating their development; the value added of the tertiary industry was 782.20 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9%, with modern service industries such as tourism, finance, and logistics continuing to recover. In the first half of the year, the region received 32.1848 million tourists, achieving a total tourism revenue of 31.552 billion yuan, an increase of 11.7% and 10.2% respectively, making cultural and tourism economy an important engine driving consumption.
