Hong Kong Hospital Authority: Streamlined procedures and enhanced equipment procurement expected to save at least one billion Hong Kong dollars in spending.
According to the latest information from the Smart Finance and Economics APP, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority stated that in the past two years, through the application of information technology to streamline administrative procedures, strengthen pharmaceutical and medical equipment procurement, and improve energy management measures, operation performance and efficiency have been enhanced. It is estimated that at least HK$1 billion in expenses can be saved. Among them, the introduction of more suppliers for the procurement of medical equipment promotes price and quality competition, including suppliers from the mainland and overseas, and more unified procurement has been implemented, reducing overall procurement expenses by at least 10%.
