South Korean special prosecutor's office summons husband and wife Yin Xiyueisu.
The special prosecution team in charge of investigating the case involving the wife of former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, Kim Geon-hee, announced today that they will summon Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Geon-hee to appear as suspects for questioning. According to the special prosecution team, Kim Geon-hee has been notified to appear for questioning on August 6 at 10 am, marking the second time she has been summoned for questioning since being called in by the South Korean prosecutors in May earlier this year. The special prosecution team stated that Kim Geon-hee is suspected of violating the Capital Markets Act by manipulating the stock prices of the Volkswagen and Samho Construction companies and being involved in election interference with political broker Myung-tae. It is understood that Kim Geon-hee has expressed her willingness to honestly cooperate with the investigation. The special prosecution team also sent a document to the Seoul detention center on the same day, requesting assistance for Yoon Suk-yeol to appear as a suspect for questioning on July 29 at 10 am local time. The special prosecution team revealed that Yoon Suk-yeol has been summoned for questioning on suspicion of violating the Public Official Election Act.
