Chengdu: The number of new energy vehicles reaches 1.08 million, with the electrification rate in public areas exceeding 80%.

On July 21, the official website of the Chengdu Economic and Information Bureau announced that as of the end of June, the total number of new energy vehicles in the city has reached 1.08 million, accounting for 15.1% of the total. Chengdu ranks first among non-automobile restricted cities, achieving the goal of "by 2025, the city's total number of new energy vehicles will reach 800,000, with an electrification rate of 80%" ahead of schedule. Currently, the number of new energy vehicles in public areas such as buses, taxis, online car-hailing services, and urban logistics delivery vehicles in Chengdu has exceeded 250,000, with an electrification rate of over 80%. Among them, all new and replacement vehicles for public transportation, taxis, and online car-hailing services are fully electrified; the proportion of new and replacement vehicles in key areas such as government affairs, sanitation, postal services, and urban logistics delivery vehicles has also exceeded 80%.
