Omdia: Intensified competition in North American TV operating system platforms Vizio CastOS and Amazon Fire TV shipments surge

According to the financial news app Wisdom Financial, the latest "TV Design and Function Tracking Forecast Report (Q1 2025)" released by Omdia shows that the competition in the TV market is shifting from hardware functions to the ecosystem competition of operating system platforms. In the first quarter of 2025, two key TV operating system platforms in the North American TV market showed significant growth momentum. Vizio CastOS shipped 1.2 million units, a year-on-year increase of 40.4%; at the same time, Amazon Fire TV devices also shipped 1.2 million units, a year-on-year increase of 21.5%.
