Four workers in Changsha City were trapped while surveying underground pipelines, one died and one was missing.

On July 21, the Emergency Management Bureau of Tianxin District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, issued a situation report: At around 16:50 on July 20, during the underground pipeline survey of the Xinchang Road construction project in Tianxin District, Changsha City, four workers were trapped underground. After emergency rescue by the Changsha Fire Rescue Brigade, three people have been rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment. Two of them have stable vital signs, while one person died despite rescue efforts. Another person is missing and efforts are underway to locate them. Currently, on-site rescue, personnel treatment, follow-up arrangements, and cause investigation are being carried out in an orderly manner.
