According to reports from multiple US media outlets this morning Eastern Time, after asking Republican lawmakers whether the Federal Reserve Chairman Powell should be fired, President Trump has drafted a letter to dismiss Powell. It is expected that Trump will announce the dismissal of Powell soon. As a result of these reports, US Treasury yields have declined.
