According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on July 16th, the National Immigration Administration held a routine press conference to report on the main data and achievements of immigration management in the first half of 2025. Lu Ning, Deputy Director of the General Office of the National Immigration Administration, stated that in the first half of the year, national immigration management agencies checked 3.33 billion entries and exits, a year-on-year increase of 15.8%; including 1.59 billion mainland residents, 1.36 billion residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, with year-on-year increases of 15.9% and 12.2% respectively; 38.053 million foreigners, a year-on-year increase of 30.2%; 13.64 million visa-free foreigners, accounting for 71.2%, with a year-on-year increase of 53.9%.
