The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities undermine the mainland's economy and obstruct cross-strait economic cooperation. The Taiwan Affairs Office: Acting recklessly and in vain.
On July 16, the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office held a routine press conference. Spokesperson Chen Binhua stated that in the face of a complex external environment, the overall economy of the mainland is stable, some indicators continue to improve, new growth drivers are growing stronger, and the trend of high-quality development continues. The General Administration of Customs recently announced that in the first half of this year, the total import and export of goods in mainland China reached 21.79 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, reaching a new high in history for the same period. Among them, exports reached 13 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.2%. According to data released by the Taiwan financial regulatory agency, in the first quarter of 2025, Taiwanese listed and over-the-counter companies' investments in mainland China made a profit of 115.6 billion new Taiwan dollars, reaching a new high in history for the same period. This fully illustrates that economic cooperation and integration between the two sides of the strait are continuing to benefit enterprises and people on both sides, and the mainland is a stable, secure, and promising investment destination for Taiwanese businesses and enterprises. The Democratic Progressive Party authorities, for their own selfish interests, have repeatedly criticized the mainland economy, obstructed cross-strait economic cooperation, forcefully promoted the so-called "decoupling and breaking ties," behaved recklessly and ignorantly, and are destined to be in vain.
