The Central Meteorological Observatory continues to issue orange high-temperature warnings at 06:00 on July 16th.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that on July 16th, during the day, most areas in central Shaanxi to the south of the lower reaches of the Yellow River will experience temperatures above 35; among which, in certain areas of southern and central Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, western Shandong, Henan, Anhui, southern and central Jiangsu, most of Shanghai, Hubei, Hunan, western Jiangxi, central-northern Zhejiang, the Sichuan Basin, Chongqing, northeastern Guizhou, as well as certain areas of western Inner Mongolia, along the Tianshan Mountains and the southern Xinjiang Basin, the highest temperatures will reach 37-39, while in certain areas of central Shaanxi and Hanzhong, southwestern Shanxi, central-southern Henan, northern and western Hubei, northern Chongqing, southern Sichuan Basin, northwestern Inner Mongolia, the Turpan Basin in Xinjiang, and the southern Xinjiang Basin, temperatures can reach above 40.
