U.S. Energy Secretary Wright has compared the competition of artificial intelligence (AI) to the United States' atomic bomb program during World War II. "The AI competition is the second Manhattan Project," Wright posted on social media. During World War II, the U.S. government's Manhattan Project successfully developed the atomic bomb, which was ultimately used by the U.S. military in the latter stages of the war against Japan. In the global competition for mastering artificial intelligence, Trump is facing increasing pressure.
