Among the 1180 deaths, the majority were aged 65 and above. The northern regions of Spain, such as Galicia and La Rioja, were most severely affected by the heat. According to the Spanish National Meteorological Agency's forecast, starting from the 14th, Spain will experience a new wave of high temperatures.
