Sudanese Ministry of Health: A new outbreak of cholera has already caused 2264 deaths.
On July 15, the Sudanese Ministry of Health stated that since the latest outbreak of cholera in Sudan in July 2024, the epidemic has spread to 17 out of 18 states in the country, with a total of 87,762 reported cases of infection, including 2,264 deaths. In the past week, there have been 674 new cases of infection, including 13 deaths. The Sudanese Ministry of Health stated that the health department continues to implement emergency intervention measures in some severely affected areas to prevent further spread of the epidemic.
