478 confirmed cases of Chikungunya fever in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong: all are mild cases caused by overseas input.

On July 15th, the Shunde District of Foshan City, Guangdong Province reported a local outbreak of chikungunya fever caused by an imported case. As of the report, there have been a total of 478 confirmed cases in Shunde District, mainly concentrated in Lecong Town, Beijiao Town, and Chencun Town, with all cases being mild. Currently, it is the hot and rainy season with frequent mosquito activity, and it is the peak period for mosquito-borne infectious diseases such as dengue fever and chikungunya fever. The general public needs to enhance their awareness of prevention and control.
