China Chain Store Association initiative: standardize the order of the immediate retail market, and unite to resist the "internal competition" of price subsidies.
On July 15th, the China Chain Operation Association issued a proposal to all members and related companies. The proposal pointed out that recently, the price war initiated by some platforms in instant retail has become more intense. Relying on capital power for low-price competition not only disrupts the fair market competition order, but also challenges the normal operation of physical businesses, reduces product quality, lowers service standards, and puts pressure on business profits. This chain reaction seriously threatens the foundation of the industry's sustainable development. In order to safeguard market fairness, protect consumer rights, and promote the industry's return to the essence of value competition, the China Chain Operation Association has issued the following proposals to all members and related companies: regulate the behavior of low-price subsidy competition to maintain market fairness; uphold the bottom line of operation and protect consumer rights; build a diverse competitive system and establish a long-term operating philosophy; strengthen proactive self-discipline and enhance compliance management; practice social responsibility and safeguard the industry's ecosystem.
