Macao Statistics and Census Service: in the second quarter of 2025, the Macao tourism price index increased by 1.42% year-on-year.

Finance and Economics App learned that according to data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macau, the tourism price index in the second quarter of 2025 increased by 1.42% compared to the same period last year. This increase was mainly driven by higher prices for jewelry, watches, entertainment, and leisure expenses. However, the decrease in prices for clothing and dining services offset some of the increases. Among the various categories of price indices, the price index for miscellaneous items (such as jewelry, watches, and handicrafts) and entertainment and cultural activities increased by 13.40% and 12.00% respectively, while the price index for clothing and dining decreased by 3.14% and 2.80% respectively.
