Production demand grew steadily, overall employment situation remained stable, residents' income continued to increase, new growth drivers grew stronger, high-quality development made new progress, and the overall social situation remained stable. Preliminary calculations showed that the country's GDP reached 66.0536 trillion yuan in the first half of the year, with a year-on-year growth of 5.3% in terms of constant prices. By industry, the value added of the primary industry was 3.1172 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.7% year-on-year; the value added of the secondary industry was 23.905 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.3%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 39.0314 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.5%.
