National Bureau of Statistics: Stable summer grain production and abundant harvest, steady growth in animal husbandry sector.

In the first half of the year, the agricultural added value increased by 3.7% year-on-year. The total output of summer grain in the country was 149.74 million tons, a decrease of 150,000 tons compared to the previous year, a decrease of 0.1%. In the first half of the year, the output of pork, beef, mutton, and poultry meat was 48.43 million tons, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year, with the output of pork, beef, and poultry meat increasing by 1.3%, 4.5%, and 7.4% respectively, while the output of mutton decreased by 4.6%; milk production increased by 0.5%, and egg production increased by 1.5%. At the end of the second quarter, the inventory of live pigs was 424.47 million, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year; in the first half of the year, the number of slaughtered live pigs was 366.19 million, an increase of 0.6%.
