Hubei: The upper limit of the maternity insurance outpatient prenatal examination benefit standard will be unified and raised to 1000 yuan.

The Office of the People's Government of Hubei Province issued a notice on "Several Measures to Accelerate the Improvement of the Support Policy System for Childbirth and to Build a More Practical and Effective Childbirth-Friendly Society". It mentioned raising the level of medical benefits for childbirth support. The maximum limit for outpatient prenatal check-up benefits under maternity insurance will be raised to 1000 yuan. For insured individuals giving birth in designated medical institutions, the fixed guarantee for hospitalization expenses will be adjusted to be paid according to the basic medical insurance hospitalization reimbursement ratio, and eligible labor analgesia and assisted reproduction projects will be included in the scope of medical insurance payment. Maternity allowances will be directly distributed to insured female employees, and the "apply and handle immediately" policy for maternity allowances will be implemented. Areas with conditions are encouraged to provide subsidies for childbirth expenses incurred by women giving birth to a second child or more after reimbursement by medical insurance.
