Zakharova satirizes the U.S. State Department's budget cuts.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova sarcastically commented on the news about the downsizing of the US State Department, pointing out that American diplomats claim they are being fired in violation of human rights, even though they have always assured the world that only the United States respects human rights. Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel, "1300 people are being laid off at the State Department under the funding reform framework. They claim this is a violation of human rights. What is ridiculous is that for years, American diplomats have been telling the world that human rights are only respected in the United States, and that other countries should follow the lead of the United States."
