On the evening of July 11, the organizing committee of the second Jinzhong National Professional Go Open Tournament issued a situation report: On the morning of July 11, some participants in the second Jinzhong National Professional Go Open Tournament experienced symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, and the event organizing committee immediately organized them to seek medical treatment. As of the evening of the 11th, the players who sought medical treatment have been gradually discharged from the hospital, and their physical conditions have basically returned to normal. After the incident, the local disease control department immediately conducted an investigation, sealed and sent samples of the food from the hotel involved for inspection; simultaneously conducted an epidemiological investigation and sent samples of vomit and other samples from medical staff for inspection; and disinfected the hotel involved. It was detected through testing that the samples of vomit and other samples contained the Norovirus, and it was preliminarily judged that the discomfort symptoms were caused by Norovirus infection. In order to fully ensure the health and safety of the players, the subsequent games will be rescheduled. The organizing committee will make every effort to provide services and ensure the safety of the subsequent events.
