United Nations agencies: Over 40,000 children in western Sudan received treatment for malnutrition in the first five months of this year.

On July 11th local time, UNICEF published a report stating that from January to May this year, over 40,000 children in North Darfur State, western Sudan, were admitted to hospitals for treatment due to severe acute malnutrition, which is double the number from the same period last year.
