On July 11, it was reported online that a restaurant in Lanshan District, Linyi, Shandong, was deemed to have engaged in "illegal advertising" for filming and releasing videos of food items, and faced high penalties. Lanshan District attached great importance to this and immediately set up a joint investigation team to conduct an investigation. After a preliminary investigation, it was found that on February 15, 2025, the parties involved had posted a video online of a dish made with animals like toads, which are prohibited by the country. On March 17, the Lanshan District Market Supervision Bureau initiated an investigation and issued an "Administrative Penalty Notice" on March 24. On March 27, the parties involved submitted a statement and defense materials to the Lanshan District Market Supervision Bureau, and voluntarily deleted the related videos. On May 12, based on the specific facts and extent of harm, the Lanshan District Market Supervision Bureau decided not to impose administrative penalties and notified the parties involved. Currently, the joint investigation team is conducting further investigations into the enforcement actions in this case.
