Recently, some online accounts have impersonated and counterfeited news media, government agencies, and enterprises with names such as "XX report," "XX news," "XX culture and tourism recommendation official," and "XX official live broadcast room," engaging in false advertising and selling counterfeit goods, disrupting social order. The internet supervision department, in conjunction with relevant departments, has lawfully dealt with a number of fake and counterfeit accounts, urging key platforms to strengthen account verification, open reporting channels, conduct thorough self-inspection and rectification, and has handled a total of 3008 accounts that violate regulations. Next, the internet supervision department will continue to strengthen the responsibility of website platforms, urging strict implementation of the "Internet User Account Information Management Regulations" and the "Notice on Strengthening the Management of 'Self-Media,'" continuously crack down on fake and counterfeit "self-media" accounts, increase online law enforcement efforts, and strive to create a positive and upward online environment.
