Hong Kong Development Bureau: Private residential land supply in the first half of the 2025-2026 financial year is estimated to provide approximately 6,000 units.
According to the Zhixun Finance and Economics App, today (July 11), the Director of the Hong Kong Development Bureau, Ning Hanhao, introduced the government's land sale plan for July to September 2025 to the media. He stated that the private residential land supply in the second quarter of the 2025-2026 fiscal year is expected to support the construction of approximately 4,950 units. Including the supply in the first quarter, the total supply of private residential land in the first half of this fiscal year is expected to provide about 6,000 units, accounting for approximately 45% of the supply target for the year. In addition, compared to the estimate announced in February of this year, in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the Hong Kong Development Bureau recorded another large-scale private redevelopment project that did not require a revision of the land lease, with approximately 1,100 units. Therefore, the current supply of private residential land in the fiscal year 2024-2025 can be adjusted to approximately 10,030 units, accounting for about 75% of the supply target for that year.
