CSRC is planning to introduce regulations on securities firms carrying out private fund custody business.

The Securities Association of China issued the "Implementation Opinions of the China Securities Association on Strengthening Self-discipline Management and Promoting High-quality Development of the Securities Industry". The new rules mention that regulations will be introduced for securities firms to carry out private equity fund custody business, clarify the responsibilities of custodians and managers, and prevent business risks. It also urges industry institutions to implement the new regulations on private equity subsidiaries and alternative subsidiaries, and strengthen monitoring of risks in alternative investments.
