The General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Comprehensive Department of the National Energy Administration issued a notice on the weight of renewable energy electricity consumption responsibility in 2025 and related matters, in order to implement the requirements of the Energy Law of the People's Republic of China on establishing a mechanism to promote green energy consumption, and to implement the "Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in 2024-2025", "Guiding Opinions on the Vigorous Implementation of Renewable Energy Replacement Actions", "National Carbon Emission Trading Market Coverage Plan for Cement, Steel, and Aluminum Smelting Industries", and the "Special Action Plan for Green and Low-carbon Development of Data Centers". Building on the electrolytic aluminum industry, in 2025, the proportion of green electricity consumption in the new data centers of the steel, cement, polycrystalline silicon industries and national key node will be increased.
