Smart Finance App has learned that the International Energy Agency (IEA) raised its expectations for global crude oil supply growth this year in its monthly crude oil market report released on Friday, citing the impact of the latest OPEC+ production decision. The IEA predicts that global crude oil supply will increase by 2.1 million barrels per day in 2025, an upward revision of 300,000 barrels per day compared to previous forecasts. OPEC+ had previously decided to gradually phase out the latest round of production cuts starting in April, and has accelerated the pace of production increases in May, June, July, and August, injecting more crude oil into the market.
