Today, the Zhongguancun Management Committee of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and the People's Government of Haidian District, Beijing, held a press conference to jointly release the "Action Plan for Accelerating the High-Quality Development of Scientific Research Empowered by Artificial Intelligence in Beijing". The released "Action Plan" focuses on key technology research, infrastructure construction, application in various fields, and creating an innovative ecology in four dimensions, proposing 17 key tasks such as conducting fundamental theoretical research on scientific intelligence, constructing interdisciplinary universal scientific foundational models, developing a new generation of scientific computing intelligence simulation software tools, and building an open and shared scientific data platform. The "Action Plan" states that by 2027, Beijing is expected to establish interdisciplinary universal scientific foundational models, build no less than 10 high-quality scientific databases, serve no less than 10 million users, promote in-depth applications in at least 5 fields, and develop more than 8 benchmark application cases. In addition, Beijing will also establish a common service innovation platform, introduce and cultivate a group of innovative talent, and promote the formation of a scientifically intelligent industry cluster with international competitiveness.
