There are 15,899 national seismic early warning observation sites and 5 key early warning areas that have achieved the ability to issue earthquake warnings within seconds.

Currently, the national earthquake early warning project has completed the construction of 15,899 observation stations, with 3 national-level centers and 31 provincial-level centers. It has established the ability to issue earthquake early warnings within seconds in five key warning areas, including North China, the southeast coast, seismic zones in the north and south, the midsection of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, and the vicinity of Lhasa in Tibet. The country has also developed the ability to report earthquake intensity within minutes nationwide.
