The abstract shows that in this method, the electronic device includes a first display area, a second display area, and a third display area, with the second display area located between the first display area and the third display area. In response to the user's first gesture on the first application interface or the second application interface, the electronic device displays the second application interface in the first display area and displays the first application interface in the second display area. In this application, in tri-fold devices, quad-fold devices, or even more foldable devices, by operating the electronic device to switch between two application interfaces, it is convenient for users to achieve application interface switching display.
