At the end of May, the balance of domestic and foreign currency deposits in Shanghai was 2.233 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.7% year-on-year. The balance of yuan deposits was 2.104 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year; the balance of foreign currency deposits was 179.9 billion US dollars, an increase of 12.9% year-on-year. In May, yuan deposits increased by 163.7 billion yuan, a decrease of 30.5 billion yuan year-on-year. Among them, household deposits increased by 7.8 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.6 billion yuan year-on-year; deposits of non-financial enterprises increased by 23.8 billion yuan, an increase of 49.2 billion yuan year-on-year; fiscal deposits increased by 16.4 billion yuan, a decrease of 22.9 billion yuan year-on-year; deposits of non-banking financial institutions increased by 67.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 136 billion yuan year-on-year. Foreign currency deposits increased by 3.6 billion US dollars, an increase of 3 billion US dollars year-on-year.
