Malaysia makes affirmative preliminary ruling on anti-dumping for galvanized steel sheets involving China.

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on July 4th, the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia announced that they have made an affirmative preliminary determination of anti-dumping for galvanized sheets originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam. They have decided to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on the implicated products from the mentioned countries for up to 120 days, with rates ranging from 3.86% to 26.80% for China, 8.97% to 31.47% for South Korea, and 11.41% to 57.90% for Vietnam. This measure will take effect on July 7, 2025. The final ruling on this case is expected to be made no later than November 3, 2025. On February 6, 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry of Malaysia announced that they have initiated an anti-dumping investigation on galvanized sheets originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam, in response to an application submitted by the domestic production company CSC Steel Sdn. Bhd.
