The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released the "2025 Truck Driver Employment Status Survey Report" today. According to the report, with the deep integration of the digital economy and the road freight industry, digital freight platforms have become an important channel for truck drivers to find cargo. The survey report shows that nearly six out of ten drivers use digital freight platforms to find sources of goods, with the proportion of platform goods steadily increasing. Over seventy percent of drivers believe that the main advantage of digital freight platforms is that it makes it easier to find goods, which is the platform's biggest advantage, and has increased compared to the previous year. Over eighty percent of drivers have participated in various social insurance programs, with the participation rate steadily increasing. The basic employment situation of truck drivers remains consistent with last year, with relatively high occupational stability. Nearly seventy percent of truck drivers have been in the industry for over eleven years. In addition, survey data shows that the most important service that truck drivers believe digital freight platforms should strengthen is freight insurance protection. Experts suggest that the next step should be to further improve the freight protection mechanism, establish a fair market freight rate mechanism, and strengthen the standardized governance of digital freight platforms.
