On July 11, in response to rumors that L'Oreal plans to merge its Hong Kong office with its mainland business, resulting in the layoffs of over 200 employees, L'Oreal China denied the reports, stating that they are false. L'Oreal said that in order to address the constantly changing market environment and consumer demands, the group will continue to evaluate and optimize its organizational structure in global and local markets to ensure it stays up to date.
