On July 11th, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., stated at the 2025 China Automobile Forum that the industry is currently combating "internal competition," and in fact, Chery has also followed suit in price wars and internal competition. He jokingly said, "In the rapidly developing era of intelligence, business leaders have become a bit 'stupid.' In fact, we are a relatively conservative company, always following others in doing good things as well as bad things. We are actively developing new technologies, but we are also cautious in implementing them; we also dare not offend anyone in terms of publicity. We always say, domestically, we do not retaliate or talk back, and internationally, we are especially worried about being disliked by others." Yin Tongyue stated that in the past, the government focused on sales volume, and companies constantly competed in terms of sales and speed. However, the development of the Chinese automotive industry now requires upgrades in brand, management, innovation, and service. He called on the government to increase evaluation and guidance in these areas and to be patient in supporting companies' upgrades. He also mentioned that currently there is a rush of domestic car companies' expansion overseas, and he hopes that the government, associations, media, and others can collaboratively create a sustainable, orderly way for companies to expand internationally.
