A single nerve fiber is clearly visible! Chinese scientists have achieved "high-definition panoramic imaging" of the entire body of a mouse.
According to the University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Bi Guoqiang and Professor Liu Beiming from the school, in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the Advanced Technology Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shenzhen, have made a breakthrough in developing the world's fastest subcellular resolution three-dimensional imaging technology for small animals. This technology has enabled the high-definition mapping of the entire nervous system of a mouse in three dimensions for the first time. The related findings were published in the international academic journal "Cell" on July 10th, providing a new tool for studying the peripheral neural control network and disease mechanisms.
