Reporters learned from the flood prevention and drought relief command office of Urad Middle Banner, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, and the emergency management bureau of Urad Middle Banner that on July 8, 2025, there was a sudden heavy rain in the upstream of Qian Da Mengou in Wujiahe Town, Urad Middle Banner, Bayannur City. During this period, there were short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorm strong winds, hail, and other severe convective weather. Due to the torrential rain causing mountain torrents, and the area of Qian Da Mengou is a mountainous area with a large height difference and steep slope, the instantaneous water flow had a strong impact. Around 00:10 on July 9, the west side of the roadbed of the Qian Da Meng Bridge at kilometer 1066 of G335 National Highway in Bayannur City, Urad Middle Banner was washed away by floodwaters, and one person fell into the flood and became missing.
