Former Vice President Mike Pence said that Donald Trump has the right to publicly share his views on Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and interest rate decisions, and that he himself also has concerns about related policies. "I believe that the President of the United States has every right to express his opinions on the Federal Reserve Chairman and the Federal Reserve itself," Pence said in an interview on Thursday. "I don't really agree that the Federal Reserve should be a completely independent institution, like the College of Cardinals, where unless you are reverent and humble, you can't speak," Pence continued. "The President should be able to express his views."
