BYD's layout in the field of robotics welcomes new actions. BYD Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. recently signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to jointly establish the "Hong Kong University of Science and Technology- BYD Intelligent Robotics Joint Laboratory". By combining BYD's industrial experience with HKUST's academic strengths in artificial intelligence, robotics, and other fields, the laboratory will focus on cutting-edge research in robot technology and intelligent manufacturing. It is expected to accelerate key technological breakthroughs and make the joint laboratory a core engine driving global robot innovation and intelligent manufacturing upgrades. The joint laboratory will be located on the HKUST campus, and BYD will invest millions of Hong Kong dollars in support over the next few years to focus on the research and development of intelligent body technology.
