BYD and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology have established a joint laboratory, investing tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars to develop artificial intelligence technology.

Recently, BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to jointly establish the "HKUST-BYD Intelligent Robotics Joint Laboratory". By combining BYD's industry experience with HKUST's academic strengths in artificial intelligence and robotics, the joint laboratory will focus on cutting-edge research in robot technology and intelligent manufacturing, aiming to accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies and make the joint laboratory a core engine driving global robot innovation and intelligent manufacturing upgrade. It is reported that the joint laboratory will be located on the HKUST campus, and BYD will invest tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars to support the operation of the laboratory in the coming years, focusing on research in the field of intelligent robotics.
