China Meteorological Administration adjusts the issuance of level three emergency response for heavy rain.
The 4th typhoon of this year, "Danas", weakened to a tropical depression in Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province on July 9 at 9 a.m., and the Central Meteorological Observatory stopped issuing alerts for it at 11 p.m. on the same day. Due to the influence of the typhoon and the seasonal winds, the Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange alert for heavy rain at 6 a.m. on July 10. It is expected that parts of eastern and southern Fujian, most of Guangdong, western and southern Guangxi, northern Hainan Island, southern Yunnan, central Guizhou, southern Chongqing, southern Sichuan, western Hubei, and the Hetao region of Inner Mongolia will experience heavy to torrential rain, with parts of the eastern and southern coasts of Guangdong and southeastern Fujian potentially seeing extremely heavy rain.
After comprehensive assessment and emergency consultations, the China Meteorological Administration adjusted the release of a level III emergency response to major meteorological disasters at 10:30 a.m. on July 10. Provincial meteorological bureaus in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hubei, and Inner Mongolia, based on actual assessments, have initiated or adjusted corresponding emergency response levels.
