New national standards have been issued, and a unified coding rule will be established for enterprise material procurement.

According to the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, the national standard "Classification Coding Guidelines for Enterprise Procurement Items" was officially released today, establishing a uniform coding rule for enterprise procurement of goods. This standard, along with two previously released group standards, forms the standard system for enterprise procurement management in China, providing important foundational support for streamlining the industrial supply chain and building a unified national market. It is reported that this national standard will be officially implemented starting from September 1, 2025, and will be piloted in some central state-owned enterprises and large private enterprises.
