On July 9th local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with the Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives, Jabali, in Cairo. Li Keqiang expressed that although China and Egypt are far apart, the friendly exchanges between the two countries have a long history. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the underlying color of the traditional friendship between China and Egypt has remained unchanged, and the momentum of the development and cooperation between the two countries has not diminished. It continues to generate strong vitality and demonstrates strong intrinsic power. China is willing to further promote traditional friendship with Egypt, enhance political mutual trust, firmly support each other's core interests and major concerns, and continuously elevate the two countries' relationship to a new level and achieve more new results in cooperation, to better benefit the two peoples. Li Keqiang hopes that both sides will maintain friendly exchanges between legislative bodies, strengthen policy communication and exchange experiences in governance, and continuously enhance mutual understanding. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to deepen development alignment with Egypt, take high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative as the guide, rely on the China-Arab Forum and the China-Africa Forum, and promote the continuous enhancement of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Both sides need to focus on the sustainable operation of bilateral landmark projects, continuously improve the level of bilateral trade and investment facilitation, strengthen industrial alignment and market connectivity, expand cooperation in emerging fields such as digital economy and green development, and promote higher-level mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. China is willing to closely communicate and cooperate with Egypt in mechanisms such as the United Nations, the BRICS countries, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, to promote all parties to jointly uphold the basic norms of international relations and the multilateral trading system, injecting more positive energy into global peace and development endeavors.
