European natural gas prices have risen for the third consecutive day.
Natural gas prices in Europe have risen for the third consecutive day, marking the longest winning streak since mid-June, as a heatwave grips the region and increases demand for the fuel. On Wednesday, benchmark futures prices rose by as much as 2.1%. Temperatures are forecasted to surpass normal levels this week from France and the UK to Spain, potentially boosting fuel consumption in some areas. If river temperatures rise, it could also put pressure on nuclear power output in France.
